Stooksbury is in her second season as an assistant coach for the PBA Softball program. Her first season was an impressive one for the Sailfish, as they finished with a 36-8 record and were the SSC Champions and No. 1 seed for the NCAA South Region Tournament.
Stooksbury, from Kennesaw, Ga. is a 2017 graduate of Young Harris College, where she earned a degree in business and public policy. She was a four-year starter on the Mountain Lions softball team, and was named to the NFCA All-Region Second Team as a utility player in 2014. Stooksbury was a three-time Peach Belt Conference All-Academic Team member, and is second in the Young Harris record books in career home runs (14) and career RBIs (114).
Stooksbury has five years of experience giving hitting lessons at JCS Sports in Kennesaw, and will assist the Sailfish on the defensive side of the game by working with the catchers and outfielders, and will also assist Castro with coaching the hitters.
