Josh Rife begins his third season as an assistant coach for the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s soccer team in 2010.
A former Division I standout at both Texas Christian University and then Indiana University, Rife recently completed his seventh season as a member of the Charlotte Eagles Soccer Club, a professional soccer club based out of Charlotte, North Carolina of the United Soccer League.
A native of Honolulu, Hawaii, Rife moved with his family to Denton, Texas which is just north of Dallas where he spent his childhood. While in Texas he played his club soccer for the Texas Longhorn Soccer Club before moving on to play at the collegiate level at TCU.
After two years with the Horned Frogs, Rife transferred to Indiana University, a national power at the Division I level for men’s soccer. During his time with the Hoosiers, Rife helped lead his team twice to the College Cup Final Four and once to the National Championship match.
After graduating from IU, Rife moved on to begin his professional career for the Eagles, the Philadelphia Kixx, and the Detroit Ignition of the MISL.
Josh has been married to his wife Christy, who plays for the Charlotte Lady Eagles, for four years.
