Born Oct. 19...product of Oakleaf High School...graduated Oakleaf with an AICE diploma which qualified her for top-tier bright futures awards...comes to PBA after playing her freshman year at Jacksonville...majoring in Nursing...favorite Bible verse is Psalm 56:3...chose PBA because of the atmosphere and the people she met at the school...daughter of Lisa and Nick Arturo...has two siblings, Kaylen and Aiden.
2024 (5th Year)
Appeared in 18 games with 10 starts, pitching 89.2 innings... Led the Sailfish with a 1.09 earned run average, the fourth-best single season mark in PBA's DII-era... Totaled 38 strikeouts with 19 walks and 14 earned runs... Finished the season with an opponents' batting average of .202, the sixth-best in a single season in PBA's DII-era... Pitched complete-game shutouts in wins over Florida Southern (April 6) and Embry-Riddle (April 20)... Tossed 11 shuout innings against the Mocs, only giving up two hits and three walks with four strikeouts... Pitched five hitless innings of relief against Kutztown, only giving up one walk and no runs to earn the win... Earned wins in five consecutive appearances (March 9-March 28)... 2023 (Senior)
Appeared in 17 games, including 10 starts... Pitched 67 innings, finishing the season with a 2.61 ERA... Threw four complete games and earned two saves... Led the team with 33 strikeouts... Tossed a complete-game shutout with three strikeouts against Colorado Mines on Feb. 10... Did not give up an earned run against top-25 ranked Tampa on Feb. 24, striking out four batters... Had 15 outings where she gave up two earned runs or less... Tied a season-high with four strikeouts against Eckerd on March 17... Posted a .281 opponent's batting average.
2022 (Junior)
Earned the role as the ace in the rotation... Made 22 appearances with 15 starts and a team-high 107.1 innings pitched... Posted the lowest ERA on the team, finishing the season with a 2.93 ERA... Tossed 10 complete-games, including shutouts against Embry-Riddle (March 4) and Barry (April 4)... Tallied her first career save against Florida Southern on April 9... Finished the year strong, allowing three earned runs or less in her last eight outings... Totaled 56 strikeouts including a season-high eight Ks against Barry on April 3... Finished the season with a .270 opponent's batting average.
2021 (Sophomore) - Season shortened due to Covid-19
Served as the second pitcher in the Sailfish rotation with 14 appearances and 12 starts in the circle...tossed a no-hitter against No. 8-ranked Rollins on April 17...finished the season with a 2.86 ERA in 83.1 innings pitched with 42 strikeouts and a .231 opponent's batting average...gave up a total of five earned runs in her final four starts of the season...tossed complete game shutouts against Lynn (April 7) and Nova Southeastern (April 21)...pitched 7.2 innings in a combined shutout against Florida tech on May 1.
2020 (Freshman) - Season shortened due to Covid-19
Made 1 appearance in the circle, making her collegiate debut at Jacksonville....pitched one inning against Alabama A&M....allowed 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 SO....the 2020 season was cut short out of an abundance of caution in response to COVID-19 concerns.
HIGH SCHOOL
Played for coach Christina Thompson...earned all-county and all-state honors in 2018 and 2019...helped lead the Knights to a Division 8a state championship in 2017...nearly repeated as champions, finishing as the state runner up in 2018.
