ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — The Palm Beach Atlantic sailing team competed at the SAISA South Fall Tournament in St. Petersburg, where light winds and storms limited the 18-team fleet to just one race.

After an initial weather delay, racing began in a five-to-six-knot westerly breeze. PBA Team 1, sailed by skipper Dawson Kohl '27 and crew Priscilla Foster '27, rounded the first windward mark in first place before finishing sixth. Team 2, with skipper Kaylee King '28 and crew Maddie Smith '27, finished 17th.

The breeze faded following the first race, preventing the fleet from completing the three-race-per-division minimum needed for the regatta to count. The results were therefore not official.

The Sailfish return to St. Petersburg this weekend for another SAISA event, hoping for stronger breeze and more time on the racecourse.
