The 2025–26 season marked a historic milestone for Palm Beach Atlantic Sailing as the program officially completed its inaugural year under the PBA Athletics Department. Building on a successful tradition of competitive sailing, the Sailfish embraced the opportunity to compete at a higher level and quickly established themselves as one of the South Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association's (SAISA) emerging programs.
Throughout the year, Palm Beach Atlantic competed in 18 regattas across five states, taking on some of the nation's top collegiate sailing programs while continuing to build a culture of excellence both on and off the water.
The fall season established a strong foundation for the program's future. The Sailfish earned their first regatta championship at the Greg Popp Trophy while recording multiple top-five finishes throughout the semester, proving they could compete with established programs across SAISA.
The momentum carried into an exceptional spring season filled with program firsts. Palm Beach Atlantic competed in its first-ever out-of-conference regatta, traveling to Galveston, Texas, for the Harris Kempner Memorial Regatta, where the Sailfish finished an impressive second place in an 11-team field. The team also competed in its first Team Race event at the Mendelblatt Open Team Race in Charleston, South Carolina, expanding the program's experience across all collegiate sailing disciplines.
The Sailfish captured two additional regatta championships during the spring, claiming first-place finishes at both the Duke Spring Regatta and the Florida Trophy to finish the year with three regatta victories during the program's season.
Depth across the roster also reached new heights. For the first time in program history, Palm Beach Atlantic fielded two teams at the Miami Trophy, the SAISA Open Fleet Race Championship, and the Florida Trophy, demonstrating the continued growth of the program and its ability to compete successfully with multiple competitive lineups.
Another significant milestone came at the SAISA Women's Fleet Race Championship, where Palm Beach Atlantic competed in the championship event for the first time in program history. The Sailfish's performance earned qualification for the 2026–27 SAISA Women's Top 9 Championship in Charleston, South Carolina, marking another important step in the program's continued rise within the conference.
The season concluded with another historic achievement as the Sailfish competed in their first ICSA Regional Teams National Invitational at Larchmont Yacht Club in New York. Competing against many of the nation's top regional teams, Palm Beach Atlantic finished eighth, capping a season defined by growth, championship performances, and historic accomplishments.
