INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- For the first time in program history, the Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team has been selected to compete in the South Regional of the NCAA DII Women's Golf Championship as announced on Monday. The tournament is held this year at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia on May 8th through May 10th.
The Sailfish have never made the regional tournament as a team or with any individuals. PBA had an excellent regular season under head coach Tim Graham that saw the Sailfish win the Seminole State Invitational and finish in the top five, four other times.
The Sailfish are coming off an eighth-place performance in the SSC Women's Golf Championships. Jaycee Jenkins, Riley Hamilton and Annika Miller led the way for the Sailfish, each finishing in the top thirty.
The top five teams and the top two golfers not on an advancing team in each regional will qualify for the NCAA Women's Golf Championship located at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada May 13-17th.
