LAKELAND, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team got swept by the Mocs on Saturday afternoon. The Sailfish got a break this week after coming off six matches in seven days the week prior, but dropped the match 7-0.
In the doubles session, Simona Hantzis Karlsson and Celia Peroni dropped their matchup 1-6. Alina Hoermann and Anarella Brito lost their matchup in the second position by a score of 2-6. In the final matchup of the doubles session, Elsa Brenner and Frida Alsterhem fell 3-6.
Anarella Brito was the first 'Fish to fall in the singles session in the fifth position by a score of 1-6, 3-6. Playing in the third position match, Virginia Borja was the next match to finish up, falling 3-6, 0-6. Simona Hantzis Karlsson kept it tight but ultimately fell 4-6, 4-6. In the first position, Alina Hoermann fell 3-6, 2-6. Alessia Passerini dropped her match 6-3, 2-6, 2-6 in the sixth position. In the final match to finish, Elsa Brenner dropped her match 6-7 (9-11), 2-6 in the fourth position.
The Sailfish return to the court on Sunday morning for an exhibition matchup before heading to Rollins on March 30th.
