Women’s Basketball Wins Fourth Consecutive Game

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball team has extended its season high winning streak to four games after its victory over the Rollins Tars on Saturday afternoon. Kash Ayuso led the way once again for PBA with 24 points. Anabel Ellison was close behind with 19 points of her own.

Both teams were a little sleepy to start the contest and points were quite tough to come by in the first quarter. There were only a combined eight baskets between both teams in the first frame and it ended the Tars up one after a late three-pointer to make it 10-9.

The second quarter was the Anabel Ellison show for the Sailfish. Ellison scored eight of the 13 points in the quarter for PBA. Including, a buzzer-beating layup to bring the deficit down to a single point at the halftime break.

Rollins came out hot out in the third quarter. The Tars stretched their lead out to 11 points in the frame and were stifling the 'Fish defensively. However, a 6-1 run end to the quarter from PBA brought them back within six points heading into the final period.

The fourth quarter was an electric one for the Sailfish and the loud crowd inside of the Rubin Arena. Kash Ayuso took over in the fourth quarter. Ayuso had 12 points and pulled the Sailfish to victory. PBA flipped their fourth quarter defecit to win the game by seven points.

The Sailfish look to continue their winning streak when they return to the floor next Saturday when they play host to the Saint Leo Lions inside the Rubin Arena at 5:00 p.m.
