WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team had a tough loss of 7-0 to No. 4 Flagler Saints.
The lone victory for the Sailfish came from third doubles Frida Alsterhem and Alina Hoermann with a score of 7-6 (8-6). On doubles court one Simona Karlsson Hantzis and Cecilia Peroni fell 6-3. On court two the tandem of Jelsyvette Croes and Jasmine Williams dropped their match 7-6 (8-6).
In singles play, Williams played on court one for her second time in a row this season, but ultimately lost to her ranked opponent 6-1, 6-2. On court two, Karlsson Hantzis dropped her match at 6-0, 6-1. Hoermann, playing third singles, fought in her first set but lost the match with a final score of 7-6 (7-4), 6-3. Virgina Borjia took her match to a super set when she came back to win the second set. However, she lost the super set and ultimately lost the match 6-2, 7-5, 1-0 (10-5). Fifth singles, Peroni, played a super set, but fell 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3). Senior Alsterhem dropped her match with a final score of 6-1, 7-5.
