Box Score SAINT LEO, FLA.- The PBA women's soccer team lost 2-0 to the Saint Leo University Lions on Saturday evening. The Sailfish (1-4-2) were held scoreless by the Lions (4-2-2) and this would be their fourth game this season without putting any points on the board.
The first half both teams were scoreless after taking four shots a piece and not being able to find the inside of the net. The Lions recorded three saves in the first 45 minutes of play to PBA's one.
The second half both teams matched in the amount of shots taken at eight. But, the Sailfish could not find themselves in the net once again. The Lions capitalized on their shots by scoring two goals in the second half to shut out the 'Fish. #27 Taylor Smith and #22 Katja May from the Lions were the ones to thank for the two goals.
The Sailfish are back at home Wednesday Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. where they will face the Sharks from Nova Southeastern University. It will be their first matchup of the year in the SSC.
