DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team dropped its regular season finale to Embry-Riddle 7-0.
On doubles court one, the PBA pair of
Svea Crohn and
Jasmine Williams were defeated 6-1. The tandem of
Elvira Edstrom and Frida Asterhem were downed 6-3. On doubles court three,
Jelsyvette Croes and
Avery Brothers dropped their match 6-3.
As for singles action, Crohn was defeated 6-1, 6-1.
Alina Hoermann took her match to three sets on singles court two but fell 5-7, 6-3, 10-4. Edstrom dropped her match 6-2, 6-1. Williams was defeated 6-2, 6-0. Alsterhem fell 6-3, 6-2. On singles court six,
Anabelle Robichaud had her winstreak in singles play snapped. Robichaud dropped her match 6-2, 6-1.
PBA concluded the regular season with wins over Ave Maria, Florida National, Ferris State, Hillsdale and Eckerd. Hoermann led the Sailfish in singles play with eight wins this season.
Cecilia Peroni and
Alessia Passerini completed their sophomore campaigns with seven singles wins each. The Sailfish duo of
Greta Langiu and Peroni led the 'Fish with three doubles wins this season.
