WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team fell 7-0 to the No. 3 Saint Leo Lions at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center. The Sailfish dropped to 0-1 in SSC play.
Avery Brothers and
Jelsyvette Croes made their first appearance together in doubles play. The tandem dropped their match 6-2.
Alessia Passerini and
Anabelle Robichaud were defeated 6-0.
Frida Alsterhem and
Svea Crohn fell 6-3.
Singles play was more active for the 'Fish as three of the five singles matches went to a third set.
Jasmine Williams was defeated 6-3, 0-6.
Alina Hoermann dropped her match 6-4, 6-1.
Giovana Kelm lost 6-1 in consecutive sets.
Cecilia Peroni won her first set 6-0 but dropped the next two. She was defeated 0-6, 2-6, 3-6.
Elvira Edstrom took her first set 6-3 but fell 3-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the singles court four match.
Svea Crohn (1-1) won a decisive first set 7-5 before she was defeated in the final two sets. Crohn lost 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.
The Sailfish travel to Rollins for an SSC match on Saturday, Feb. 11.
