Box Score CLEVELAND, MISS.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team fell to the Delta State Statesmen 1-0 on Friday. It was the first road game for the Sailfish as they fell to 1-2-1 on the season. 

The lone goal of the game came in the 34th minute when DSU capitalized off a corner kick opportunity. The corner connected with DSU's Taylor Klosterman near the goal. Klosterman finished the play with a header to the back of the net. 

The Sailfish put nine shots on goal during the game. Down the stretch the 'Fish put together some scoring opportunities that didn't come to fruition. With 25 minutes left , the Sailfish had a free kick opportunity. The ensuing play found Arianna Jones near the goal. Jones took a header that just missed the right post. 

With three minutes left, Sydney Brewer kicked a shot on goal near the box. The shot went left and was saved by DSU's goalkeeper. The 'Fish couldn't find and equalizer in the second half as they dropped the match 1-0.

Next, PBA will close out its Mississippi road trip against Mississippi College on Sunday Sep. 4. This match will be PBA's last non-conference match before SSC play.
