PBA Concludes Regular Season At Eckerd

St. Petersburg, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought conference match to the Eckerd Tritons 1-0 in St. Petersburg. The Sailfish concluded their regular season with a  2-10-3 record.

PBA defensively limited Eckerd to three total shots in the first half as it was a 0-0 stalemate at halftime. The Tritons found net in the 63rd minute when Eckerd's Hajar Benjoud connected with Annie Stook. Stook's header bounced off the top crossbar and into the net for the lone goal of the match. The Tritons had possession for the majority of the second half and finished with 14 shots. Gaby Lopez made her fourth career start for the 'Fish and made five saves.

Michaela Boyd led PBA with two shots on goal. The Sailfish collectively took seven total shots with three on target. The 'Fish generated one last scoring opportunity for an equalizer in the 88th minute. Boyd broke through the Tritons' defense and launched a shot toward the right side of the net that was saved by Eckerd's goalkeeper.

The Sailfish finished the regular season with a 1-7-2 record in SSC play. PBA had ten different goal scorers this year. Kendall Furrow completed the season as the team leader in goals with three. Krysta Memis and Furrow finished tied for the team lead in points with six each. Memis scored two game-winning goals in PBA's victories over Westminister (Aug. 25,) and Rollins (Oct. 22.)
