WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse saw their offense come to life early and often on Monday evening, defeating Division III Oglethorpe 18-1 at the Rinker Athletic Campus.
The Sailfish (4-2) scored six times in the first eight minutes as Kiki Cinotti and Grace Bartlinski combined for five of those goals. Bartlinski finished with a team-high four goals and added an assist while Cinotti recorded a hat-trick and also put up nine assists. She picked up three straight assists in the first half, helping Bartlinski, Julia Del Carmen and Taylor Gutmann all find the back of the net.
PBA had 10 different players record a goal including Lindsey Heffler notching a hat-trick. Shayna Rogers added two goals while Del Carmen added an assist to her goal. Taylor Gutmann and Kirra Byerly scored their first collegiate goals in the game with Alyssa Yates, Kate LeBlanc and Abby Heffler also scoring a goal.
The 'Fish took 29 shots in the game compared to 13 for the Stormy Petrels. Lindsey Heffler picked up four draw controls for the Sailfish who won 13 of the 21. Heffler also led the team with four ground balls while Grace Bartlinski was credited with two caused turnovers.
PBA will be back in action on Saturday as they host Nyack at 3 p.m.
