WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse wasn't able to measure up to No. 5 Florida Tech on Wednesday night, falling to the Panthers 23-1.
FIT scored the first four goals before Grace Bartlinski netted the only PBA goal of the night. The goal was the 34th of the season for the freshman with Morgan LeBlanc picking up assist number nine on the year.
The Panthers led 16-1 at halftime but were held to just seven goals in the second half. Sarah Vernarelli made 14 saves on the night including eight in the second half. The Panthers took 41 shots in the game and put 37 on target. The 'Fish were limited to just four shots overall. Vernarelli also led the team with five groundballs.
The Sailfish return to the field for the final time at home on Saturday, hosting No. 16 Tampa at 7 p.m.
