WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball ended their 2018 season on Saturday afternoon, as they fell to the Eckerd College Tritons by a 74-51 final inside Rubin Arena on Senior Day. Before the game the Sailfish honored their four seniors; Lisa van der Water, Jane Svilberg, Nkiru Anyagaligbo, and Hannah Grim.
The Tritons were in control of the game right from the start, as they shot 50 percent from the field and over 60 percent from long range in the first half. Eckerd outscored the Sailfish 22-8 in the second quarter to take a 38-21 lead into the break.
The 'Fish only had three players score in the first half, as Grim scored eight, Anyagaligbo finished the half with 10, and Caroline Patrick knocked down a three.
Eckerd continued their strong play in the second half, as they outscored PBA by three points in both the third and fourth quarters to win by the 74-51 final. Kacie Juday led the way offensively for the Tritons, as she scored 15 points and added seven boards. The Tritons finished the day with 16 assists on their 27 made baskets.
Grim scored 17 points for the 'Fish on Saturday, as the senior also pulled down nine rebounds. Grim finishes her PBA career as the all-time scoring leader with her 1219 career points. Anyagaligbo scored 10 points on the day and also grabbed nine rebounds.
Ciara Cumbie and Jessica Nodell scored six points each for the Sailfish on the day, as Patrick and Tyler Davis added five each.
