Box Score DAVIE, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women’s basketball team were unable to stay unbeaten on the young season, falling 94-56 to No. 21 Nova Southeastern on Wednesday night at the NSU Arena.
PBA (2-1) fell behind early and never recovered, shooting just 35 percent on the night. Nikkira Brown led the Sailfish on the night with 12 points, making 3-of-5 from the floor and 6-of-8 from the free throw line. Jane Svilberg added 10 points on 5-of-11 shooting.
The Sharks made 13 3’s on the night and shot 52 percent overall from the floor as they raced out to a 10-2 lead early in the first quarter. Samantha Logan and Taylor Buie led all players with 16 points each.
PBA made just 3-of-15 from long range with Mina Salhia connecting on two of those. She finished with nine points and two assists. The Sailfish were outrebounded on the night 46-31. Ciara Cumbie led PBA with eight boards.
The Sailfish are back in action on Saturday as they travel to Lynn to take on the Fighting Knights at 2 p.m.
