No. 5 Men's Soccer Stay Undefeated, Beat Florida Tech 4-1

Box Score MELBOURNE, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer team continued their winnings ways Wednesday night at Rick Stottler Field on the campus of Florida Tech, beating the Panthers 4-1 to advance to 8-0-1 on the year.

The Panthers got on the board first in the 16th minute off the foot of Trey Collins. But it didn't take long for the Sailfish to equalize things in Melbourne, as Tom Gavin scored his first goal of the year in the 27th minute.

Jermaine Metz broke the tie seven minutes later when he scored off the assist from Phill Cardoso. The goal was Jermaine’s third goal on the year, and was Cardoso’s fourth assist.

In typical fashion this season, West Palm Beach native Lucas DaSilva scored in the 58th minute, which gives him his nation-leading 12th goal on the year.

The icing on the cake for the ‘Fish came in the 89th minute as Zac Sitler added his fourth goal on the campaign, with Jerry Saint-Vil picking up his second assist on the year.

Steeven Raymont (8-0-1) picked up six saves, and the Sailfish defense only allowed 14 shots on the night.

The Sailfish are back in action Saturday night at home at they take on the Sharks of Nova Southeastern at 7 pm.
