WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A sluggish start to the game Wednesday night doomed Palm Beach Atlantic against Eckerd College, with the Tritons rolling to an 83-49 victory over the Sailfish in the Rubin Arena.
PBA managed to shoot just 28% (16-of-58) from the floor for the game, while EC shot an efficient 54.7% (29-of-53) from the floor. The Tritons (3-0) also shot 52% (11-for-21) from behind the three-point line, and knocked down 14-of-20 (70%) from the charity stripe.
The silver lining in the game for Palm Beach Atlantic was the play from freshman guard Taylor Buchanan, who scored a career-high 17 points and also pulled in a team-high seven rebounds. She was joined in double figures by senior Kasie Parker, who had 12 points.
The Sailfish (1-4) return to action on Saturday afternoon, taking on UPR-Bayamon at 2:00 PM from the Rubin Arena.
