BOCA RATON, Fla.. – It was the Kenny Hogg show once again, as the junior striker brought home his second hat trick of the season and lead the Sailfish to a 4-0 victory over Ave Maria in the second day of the Wyndham Boca Raton Soccer Classic.

Hogg started the scoring for the Sailfish in the 16th minute, taking a through ball and knocking a shot in at goal. After the initial shot was blocked by the keeper, Hogg recovered and drove home his eighth goal of the year into an open net.

After Hogg converted on a penalty kick in the 33rd minute, Gabe Carneiro delivered a beautiful cross from the right side that Hogg was able to get a head on and beat the keeper. It marked the tenth goal in just four games for Hogg.

After a clean sheet with two saves yesterday, Austin Spagnola delivered another spotless performance in the first half before giving way to Steven Bush. Both keepers collected two saves, and together they’ve now posted shutouts in the last three matches.

In the second half, senior midfielder Charlie Hubbard headed home his first goal of the campaign on a cross from the right side of the field from Ben Vogeney.

The Sailfish outshot the Gyrenes both in overall shots and shots on goal. PBA totaled 12 shots with six on goal, while Ave Maria took seven shots with four on goal.

Palm Beach Atlantic returns to the pitch on Friday, September 14th, traveling to Charlotte, N.C. to take on Queens University.
