WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- With the regular season schedule starting to wind down, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s and women’s tennis teams wrapped up dual-match portion of their season on Thursday evening by hosting West Alabama University at the South Olive Tennis Center. The Lady Sailfish came out with a 6-3 victory.
Much like the men’s match, the women’s featured solid play from the Sailfish in doubles and singles. PBA won two of three sets in the doubles portion of the match with Lina Rubiano and Natalie Aleman scoring an 8-5 victory in doubles number one and Krishna Domenech and Kelly Schwartz also getting a victory in singles number three.
Freshman Montsy Ripoll was joined by sophomore Katie Livesay, Domenech, Aleman, and Schwartz in the wins column in singles competition.
Now 9-7 on the season, PBA will next take on the highly-ranked Nova Southeastern University on the road on Saturday, March 29th. The match is slated to begin at 11 am.
