Kyle Bloemers begins his second year as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Marketing within the PBA Athletic Department for the 2011-2012 academic year. Bloemers spent the previous two years as the Coordinator for Compliance and Marketing before being promoted to Assistant A.D.
Formerly serving as the Athletic Recruiting Coordinator within the university’s Admisions Office, Bloemers has effectively shifted his focus from the recruitment of student-athletes to the compliance supervision of PBA’s 10 varsity teams, while also having his hand in the overall marketing image of PBA athletics.
Beyond the day-to-day operations involved with keeping the Sailfish teams and coaching staff within the rules structure of the NCAA, Bloemers also overseas potential marketing, development, and advancement opportunities for PBA athletics within the community.
A native of Holland, Michigan, Bloemers earned his bachelor’s degree at Hope College and completed his Masters degree in Organizational Leadership at PBA in 2009.
Before coming to PBA in June of 2007, he spent four years in Michigan teaching third grade and coaching high school baseball, basketball and softball. He also served as Athletic Director for one year at a private school in nearby Lake Park, Florida.
A committed Christian, Bloemers strives to honor God in all that he does. His favorite verse is Isaiah 40:31. “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”
Kyle is married to PBA head softball coach Kimmy Bloemers and they reside in Palm Beach Gardens with their daughter Alyse.
