Kevin spent his junior season as a two-way player, as he began pitching for the first time in his collegiate career … made 14 appearances on the mound out of the Sailfish bullpen, and posted an impressive 4.32 ERA … threw 2.2 innings on March 3 against #10 St. Edwards, not allowing a hit or an earned run … finished the season with 15 strikeouts and only four walks in 16.2 innings pitched … only allowed three extra-base hits on the season, while have an opponent’s batting average of .239.
Injuries delayed his first appearance of the season until March 5 against Lynn…didn’t see regular action until April…picked up a pair of hits including a home run against Eckerd (4/16) in game one…also drove in two in that game…doubled against Nova Southeastern (4/9)…stole a pair of bases on the season.
Played in 20 games in his rookie campaign, making nine starts for the Sailfish... Finished the year with a .171 average and five RBI... Had his best night of the season against Embry-Riddle University on February 17th when he went 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.
