Goeun Lee began her tenure with Palm Beach Atlantic University in October 2014 and currently serves the Sailfish Athletic Department as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
Lee joined Palm Beach Atlantic having spent the previous two years working as the NCAA Compliance Assistant at Saint Leo University. In that role, she was responsible for monitoring recruiting activities, coordinating financial aid with coaches, building cases for relief, academic, and medical hardship waivers, and helping provide interpretations on NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules to coaches and staff.
After earning her undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo, she earned her M.B.A. from the school while working in the compliance office. She also took on the task of running the athletics’ ticketing and concessions while at Saint Leo, hiring, managing and training student-workers while scheduling and training them to utilize concession profit potential and increasing overall fan experience.
As a student-athlete, Lee stood out on the golf course for the Lions becoming the first-ever female golfer from Saint Leo to compete in the NCAA National Championships. She thrived on the course and in the classroom, earning a spot on the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll (GPA of 3.78) on two separate occasions.
At PBA she oversees all NCAA compliance matters for the university including interpretations of NCAA rules to coaches and staff, progress towards degree, and monitoring all student-athlete eligibility issues.
