WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball head coach Carlos Palacio has resigned his position in order to pursue other career opportunities.

"Carlos is a passionate alumnus who cares greatly about the University and its mission," said PBA Director of Athletics Carolyn Stone. "I am grateful to him for his service and wish him God's blessing as he pursues his next career steps."

Palacio served as the program leader for six seasons. During that time the Sailfish recorded their best season as a Division II program, posting a 13-13 record in 2015-16. Palacio also coached Hannah Grim who set the program record for career points this season.

A national search for the next PBA women's basketball coach will begin soon.
