MELBOURNE, Fla.- Hitting the race course for the first time this season on Saturday morning, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s cross country team displayed a solid team effort as they had five runners compete and finished fourth in the six team event. Freshman Kyle Mason was PBA’s top finisher in 33rd place with a time of 30:50.23.
Competing in the men’s 8K and led by Mason’s time, the rest of the Sailfish team didn’t fall far behind as all five competitors closed out the race within six minutes of each other.
Following the freshman Mason was another Kyle, in senior Kyle Pryce who finished at 33:19.99 which placed him 42nd in the field. Following right behind Pryce were a trio of PBA runners in sophomore Matthew Lorton (34:04.38) in 43rd place, Stephen Tucker (36:22.11) in 47th place, and newcomer Brad Treen (36:44.04) in 49th place.
