WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Hosted in the Rubin Arena by Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s basketball head coach Terry Primm in conjunction with the PBA Development Office, the second annual Share the Vision event took place on Saturday evening as current and former members of the men’s basketball team from Palm Beach Atlantic gathered for a fund-raising event that also serves as the official kick-off to what hopes to be a promising 2009-2010 season for the Fish.

The night featured a catered meal by Sodexho catering services, a silent auction, as well as a time of recapping and sharing by Primm as to where he feels the program is headed. Primm recapped a memorable 2008-2009 campaign, his second at the helm of his alma mater, in which he led the Sailfish to more than double the amount of victories than the season before.

Primm outlined his aggressive five-year plan to make Palm Beach Atlantic into a championship level team and shared with the people on hand what he believes it will take to get there.

Other speakers included PBA Athletic Director Bob White who shared the opening invocation as well as a special presentation from Primm of the “Outstanding Parent Volunteer Award” to Lonnie and Carol Lawrence. Lawrence would also later share a few words for the crowd on hand from a parent’s perspective and encouraged the people to support the program not only financially but also by their attendance in the seats at games home and away.

Junior Hunter Ross, one of the Sailfish returning starters and a local player from Palm Beach County, also shared with those on hand of how being a PBA player is different and the commitment it takes on and off the court to succeed.

PBA Chairman of the Board John Greene closed out the program with a special message and closing prayer before the night ended with fellowship and picture taking.

Special thanks to Shane Collins and his Sodexho catering staff, Gabriel Tullier and Media Services for technical support, as well as Deborah Bowmar-Jaffe and Mary Jacobs from the Development Office in making this type of event a true success.
