Sailfish Baseball Cruises to NCCAA South Region Championship Over Emmanuel College

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga.- The bats have come alive at just the right time for the Palm Beach Atlantic University baseball team as the Fish breezed through the competition at the NCCAA South Regional tournament this week. Scoring in double-figures each of the three games, the Fish took care of business against host Emmanuel College on Friday afternoon with a 15-1 route on their way to clinching a spot at the NCCAA National Tournament later this month.
Official statistics were not made available for any of the games of the tournament however it is known that sophomore Taylor McBath was the starting pitcher for Palm Beach Atlantic and helped lead PBA to their first NCCAA Region title since 2007.

With the South region title in hand, head coach Rob Avila and the Sailfish will now move on to the NCCAA National Championship tournament to be held May 20-23 at Prasco Park in Mason, Ohio.
