Sailfish and Seahawks Soaked; Teams Rained Out on Baseball Diamond

Written By: Michael Brown, Palm Beach Atlantic University SID

LAKE WORTH, Fla.- Welcoming in cross-town rival Northwood University on Wednesday, the evening started off well for the Palm Beach Atlantic University baseball team. However, with a thunderstorm finding its way into Palm Beach County the two teams would have to leave the baseball diamond early as the rains wiped away what was an early 3-0 lead for PBA.

No makeup date will be scheduled between the two teams as it was a non-conference matchup.

Graham White earned his second collegiate start for the Fish and had held the hard-hitting Seahawks attack scoreless through two plus innings while the Sailfish offense witnessed a two-run single by Jeff Moyer in the first inning and then another run coming home to score in the bottom of the second inning.

With only two plus innings completed, the game and statistics will not count.

PBA has the weekend off as they will next take on Lynn University on Tuesday, April 21st at 6 pm when they host the Fighting Knights at PBCC.
