Palm Beach Atlantic Takes Care of Business Against Northwood in Men's Tennis

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- After a dominating doubles session which saw the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s tennis team capture three victories over West Palm Beach rival Northwood University, the Sailfish closed out the match on Tuesday afternoon with singles victories at the top and the bottom of the match.

Improving to 13-5 on the season while most likely gaining the attention of the NCAA South Region raters with their ninth victory in their past ten matches, the Sailfish earned a relatively easy victory over the Seahawks.

Krasimir Atanasov and Luke Bolanos continued their solid work at the top with an 8-3 doubles victory while also earning singles victories with 6-3, 6-2, and 6-1, 6-3 wins respectively.

Tyler Dealy and senior John Tilton earned an 8-5 #2-doubles win while James Buerkle and Nick Hines both combined for a tight 9-8 (1) win at #3 doubles.

Buerkle and Hines were the final two singles winners for PBA over the Seahawks with Hines dominating at #6 with a 6-0, 6-0 win.

The Sailfish will have a tough task at hand in their next match as they will host one of the most dominant and recognizable NCAA Division II tennis programs in the country in Armstrong Atlantic University. The Sailfish will hit the courts on Saturday, March 28th at 9 am to take AAU.
