BOCA RATON, Fla.- The good news for the Palm Beach Atlantic University baseball team on Saturday afternoon at McClusker Field is that they have a chance to knock off the #1-ranked team in the nation in Lynn University. The bad news is that it may take until April for the teams to figure out if the Sailfish can hand the top-ranked Knights a loss. After eight plus innings and darkness beginning to impede play, the decision was made to suspend the game for another day.

While the games statistics are in essence frozen until the game is complete, the Sailfish and Knights hope to finish the ballgame the next time the two teams get together in Boca Raton which is scheduled for April 7th. The two teams will put things right back where they finished on Saturday evening as Nick Norley will step in to face Evan Ellison with two outs in the top of the ninth inning while Stephen Fowler is on second and Graham White is on first-base.

In a crazy game all together, the Sailfish jumped out ahead of the Knights by an 8-0 score as they plated three runs in the first inning while scoring five more times in the third inning.

With PBA starter Taylor McBath not running into any trouble until the fourth inning, it appeared as if the Sailfish would go home with a Saturday split after dropping game one by a final score of 7-2. That wouldn’t be the case however as LU extended the game into extra innings as they scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to push the game to extra innings.

The second game of a double-header, as is the case most Saturdays, the two teams pre-determined that only a seven inning game would take place.

Highlighting the game for PBA was freshman third-baseman Jeff Moyer who doubled home a run in the first and hit a towering two-run homerun in the third inning to aide the Sailfish cause. Vasilios Mila added in three hits as well while Nick Norley ,Michael Kutch, and Moyer all finished with two hits in the ball game.

Full statistics and a recap will be made available upon the completion of this game on April 7th.
