Men's Tennis Falls to Lynn at Home

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- After picking up their first victory of the season against Saint Leo University in their previous match, the Sailfish men’s tennis team hoped to improve their season record to 2-1 with a victory over visiting Lynn University on Wednesday afternoon.  Unfortunately, the Fighting Knights dashed any hopes of a 2-1 start, as they throttled the Sailfish 9-0.

The lone bright spot of the match came in the #1 singles match between PBA Freshman Krasi Atanasov and Lynn University star Julian Capurua.  Atanasov took Capurua down the wire in the first set and with the set tied at 6-6, Capurua was able to take the set in a tiebreak 6-7 (9).  Atanasov fought admirably to stay in the match during the second set, but ultimately fell to Capurua 6-7 (9), 3-6.

The Fish are now 1-2 on the season, and will travel to Rollins College to take on the #10 Bucs on Saturday at 3:00 pm.  Visit www.pbasailfish.com for all of the match highlights.
