Three Women's Soccer Players Tabbed as ICAA Honorees

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.- With the 2007 season now complete, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s soccer team was recently honored by having three players honored by the Independent Collegiate Athletic Association (ICAA) postseason listing.

Junior Brandi Bianco (Palm Harbor, Fla./Tarpon Springs HS) was named to the All-ICAA First Team for the second consecutive season as she continues to pile up staggering numbers as the focal point of the Sailfish attack.

Consistently marked as the “go-to” player for head coach Dwayne Whiteheart during her three seasons in a PBA uniform, Bianco tallied 10 goals and one assist during the 2007 season as she led the Fish in goals and total points.

Setting up Bianco for many of her goals was the solid play of freshman Angie Kuhn who also was named a member of the All-ICAA squad. A native of North Fort Myers, Florida and a product of Bishop Verot High School, Kuhn registered six goals and six assists in 17 games on the season. A distributing midfielder with also the ability to score, Kuhn should star for the Fish for many years to come.

Senior defender Erin Shelton (Atlantic Beach, Fla./Duncan Fletcher HS) was also named to the All-ICAA listing as an honorable mention selection.

A champion of the NCCAA Southeast region for the fifth consecutive season, PBA finished the season with a record of 7-12-2.
