WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Resuming play from their February 9th date that was halted because of rain, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s tennis team finished out their match versus the University of Tampa on Friday evening with the Spartans narrowly edging the Sailfish 5-4.

UT took two out of three doubles matches against the Fish with PBA’s lone doubles win coming from partners Lina Rubiano (Wellington, Fla.) and Montsy Ripoll (Mexico City, Mexico) at 8-3.

In singles action, the Sailfish dominated at 1-3 with Rubiano, Ripoll, and sophomore Natalie Aleman (Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio) each earning victories. The Spartans however would take the victory on the back end of singles play with three straight victories to cap a 5-4 overall victory.
