WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Strength of schedule is certainly high when considering the opponents the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s soccer team has played this season. The Sailfish took on another nationally-ranked program in Northwood University on Tuesday afternoon as the Fish fell 4-0.

Now 10-0 and still ranked sixth in the latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) latest polls, Northwood advanced past PBA for the second time this season after defeating the Fish 3-1 a few weeks previous.

The Seahawks jumped on the board early as Lisa Ohberg scored her 20th goal of the season in the 3rd minute of the game on a Julia Hassall assist.

The next NU score came on a double-assist from Tess Svensson and Katya Salguero as Sophia Soras netted the goal for the Seahawks in the 24th minute to extend the lead.

Only five minutes later Northwood struck again as Ohberg netted her second goal on another Salguero assist.

Putting an exclamation point on the afternoon was Ohberg’s third goal of the game in the 47th minute as Hassall and Saguero once again teamed up for a nifty double-assist. A freshman, Ohberg now has 22 goals on the season.

Junior goalkeeper Ashley Morrell collected six saves in a losing effort as the Fish drop to 1-9-2 on the season.

PBA returns to the pitch on Friday as they travel to the University of Tampa for a 7 pm showdown with the Spartans.
