PBA No Match for Highly-Ranked Barry

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- After a late start, the Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s and women’s tennis teams got under way on Wednesday afternoon at the South Olive Tennis Center in West Palm Beach. The results would all go the way of Barry University on this day as both the men’s and women’s teams swept the Sailfish 9-0.
On the women’s side, sophomore Montserrat Rippoll (Mexico City, Mexico) battled it out with Carolin Stevens of BU for a three-set defeat by the scores of 6-2, 6-7 (5), and 10-5.
The Bucs entered play ranked #7-nationally in men’s tennis while the Barry women’s team came in with a #16 national ranking.
