Softball Moves Up To No. 7 In Latest Region Rankings

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Palm Beach Atlantic softball has leaped three teams in the latest NCAA South Region poll. The Sailfish now sit at No. 7 in the second of three weekly rankings.
The Sailfish make the jump from No. 10 to No. 7 after taking two out of three from the No. 1 team in the south region, Saint Leo University, this past weekend. No. 8 The University of Tampa dropped two out of three this weekend to Eckerd College and fell to No. 10.
Even with the two losses this weekend Saint Leo remains the top spot in the region, followed by West Florida, Alabama Huntsville, Lee, and North Alabama in the top five. Valdosta State, PBA, Mississippi College, Shorter, and Tampa round out the bottom half of the region.
The Sailfish head to Miami Shores, Fla. this weekend for their final three regular season games as they take on Sunshine State Conference opponent Barry University. First pitch Friday is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
