Sailfish Finish 7th at Lady Panther Invite

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf completed play at the Lady Panther Invitational on Tuesday, as they shot a final-round 332 on their way to a seventh place finish. The tournament is their final regular season event in the 2017 season, as they will now prepare for the Sunshine State Conference Championship, which will take place next weekend, April 23-25, in Winter Haven, Fla.

Day Two: Victoria Hays led the charge for the Sailfish on Tuesday, as she shot an eight-over par 80 on the afternoon. Hays finishes in a tie for 28th overall in the tournament. Taylor Heinz shot the second best round of the day, as she shot a final-round score of 82.

Alex Dowd and Taylor Sukmana shot 84 on the day, as Sukmana finishes 33rd overall and Dowd finishes 35th. Katie Humphreys finished with an 86 in her final round while Emily Valentine finished with an 87.

Day One: Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s golf opened up play at the Lady Panther Invitational on Monday, as the 54-hole tournament is the final regular season tournament for the Sailfish. The ‘Fish are currently in 7th place, as they shot rounds of 332 and 342 on day one. Nova Southeastern currently leads the tournament, as they shot impressive rounds of 301 and 294 on Monday and hold a three stroke lead on Seminole State College.

Taylor Sukmana had the best Sailfish rounds on the day, as she shot a 77 in the morning session, and an 89 in round two. Sukmana, who is in a tie for 28th on the leaderboard, had three birdies in her first round of the day, most on the day for the ‘Fish.

Victoria Hays is just one stroke behind Sukmana, as she opened up the tournament with rounds of 83 and 84, and is 30th overall. Emily Valentine shot two rounds of 85 on Monday, which is good for a tie for 34th overall.

Katie Humphreys shot rounds of 88 and 84 on day one while Taylor Heinz finished with scores of 87 and 90 on the day. Alex Dowd, playing as an individual in the event, shot rounds of 85 and 86.

The team will play a final 18 holes on Tuesday morning to close out their regular season.
