Solid Final Round Leads to 6th Place Finish at Argonaut Invitational

PACE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf completed the Argonaut Invitational on Tuesday, as they shot a final round score of 324 which allowed them to climb to a 6th place finish. The score was 17 shots better than their first round score on Monday. The team will return to action next week at the Lady Panther Invitational.
Day Two: The Sailfish improved on their day one scores, as all five golfers shot better on Tuesday than they did in the first round. Victoria Hays and Taylor Sukmana both shot rounds of 80 on Tuesday. Hays finishes tied for 30th overall while Sukmana finishes in 35th. Emily Valentine also finished in a tie for 30th, as she shot a final-round 81.
Alex Dowd shot an impressive final round of 83, while Taylor Heinz shot an 86 on Tuesday to close out the Sailfish scores.
Day One: Palm Beach Atlantic women’s golf completed the first round of the Lady Argonaut Invitational Monday, as they had several stoppages due to rain. The tournament was scheduled to be 54 holes, but due to the weather, will just be two rounds. The Sailfish shot 341 on Monday as a team as they sit in 7th place. West Florida leads the tournament after day one as they shot a 282 on the day.
Emily Valentine led the way for the Sailfish on Monday, as she shot a team-best 84. Just one stroke behind Valentine was Victoria Hays and Alex Dowd who both shot 85 in their first rounds of the tournament. Valentine is in 32nd overall as Hays and Dowd are in 35th on the leaderboard.
The Sailfish will return to Marcus Pointe Golf Club on Tuesday for a final 18 holes. Stay tuned for results following play tomorrow.
