WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Continuing to restock his regular tennis lineup for 2009, Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s tennis coach Chi Ly has announced another recruit signing in Deltona High School product Luke Bolanos to a national letter of intent to attend PBA beginning in the fall.

A four-year standout at Deltona High School as the number one singles player, Bolanos capped his impressive prep resume with a district championship during his senior year while advancing to the Florida state semi-finals.

With the addition of Bolanos as well as Krasimir Atanasov and the other returning PBA players, Ly feels he has the making of another solid squad.

“Luke will be a great addition to our team next year in both a tennis standpoint as well as a spiritual leader,” said Ly.

Like most top high school players, Bolanos also competed at the USTA junior level competing in tournaments throughout the years to improve his game. His production and accomplishments at the USTA junior tournaments has landed Bolanos in the top 100 rankings in each of his four years.

With the fall season only a few months away, it won’t be long before Bolanos joins his new teammates for his first look at collegiate tennis.

"I feel very blessed to be able to attend Palm Beach Atlantic, which I believe is a wonderful Christian school,” said Bolanos.

“I am very grateful for the opportunity to play for such a great tennis team. Hopefully I will be able to contribute to this great team and help them continue their success,” continued Bolanos.
