Ragland Leads All-America Honors For Volleyball

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Palm Beach Atlantic volleyball brought home multiple awards this week before the start of the NCAA National Tournament as Sarah Ragland, Ally Rohn and Molly Burkhardt were named All-America by the AVCA. Ragland was also honored by the D2CCA.
Ragland became the second player in school history to be named a first team All-America by the AVCA. She was a third team selection last year as a sophomore. The Jacksonville, Fla. native leads all of D2 in blocks per set (1.69), block assists (195) and total blocks (209). She’s second on the team with 320 kills and has posted a .337 attack percentage. She was also named to the All-America second team by the D2CCA.
Rohn and Burkhardt both earned their first All-America honors of their career as sophomores. Rohn was named to the third team by the AVCA after leading the ‘Fish with 448 kills. She posted a .225 attack along with 404 digs, 35 aces and 33 blocks. Burkhardt was named honorable mention by the AVCA after setting up the team to the tune of 1,209 assists in her first season with the ‘Fish. She also posted 340 digs, 114 kills, 96 blocks and 29 aces.
The Sailfish enter the NCAA National Tournament Quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed and will take on No. 7 USC-Aiken on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. EST/2:30 p.m. CST.
