Sailfish Remain On Top of NCAA Regional Rankings

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Sailfish remain ranked No. 1 in the South Regino by the NCAA in the final regional rankings released on Wednesday. PBA has been the top-ranked team in the weekly rankings each week this season.
This is the fifth straight ranking that PBA has been at the top spot going back to last season. The Sailfish are riding a 26-match winning streak and close the regular season this weekend. Following the ‘Fish is Saint Leo with Tampa and West Florida at No. 3 and 4. Florida Southern and North Alabama are the next in line with Lynn, Eckerd, Shorter and Barry rounding out the top-10.
The NCAA Selection Show is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 21 at 7:30 p.m. and will be streamed live online at NCAA.com. That show will announce the 64-team field as well as the top-seed in each region who will host each region. The regional tournaments will begin on Thursday, Dec. 1.
The final site for this year’s NCAA Tournament is Sioux Falls, S.D. with play set to begin Dec. 8.
The Sailfish close out the regular season this weekend as they host Tampa on Friday at 7 p.m. and Saint Leo on Saturday at 4 p.m.
