Women's Soccer Earns NSCAA Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Head coach Chris Gnehm’s 2015-16 women’s soccer team has been recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) with the Team Academic Award. The award is designated for teams with a 3.0 grade point average or higher during the academic year.
Palm Beach Atlantic women’s soccer finished the 2015-16 academic year with a 3.15 GPA, and were one of six Sunshine State Conference affiliated women’s soccer programs to earn the honor. “There are many demands in the life of a student athlete, none of which are more important than their academic responsibilities,” said Gnehm. “I am extremely proud of my players for earning this award.”
The Sailfish are currently 4-4-1 in the 2016 season, and are looking to make a run to the Sunshine State Conference tournament. The ‘Fish will play at Florida Tech on Monday, Oct. 17 and then return home for matches against Embry-Riddle University on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and against Barry University on Saturday, Oct. 22. Saturday’s match against Barry University will serve as Senior Night for the 2016 season as well as the team’s Vs. Cancer night.
