Hurricane Matthew Forces Athletics Schedule Changes

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic University has announced the postponement of several athletic events as precautionary measures in preparation for Hurricane Matthew.

The men’s soccer home match against Saint Leo University and the women’s soccer match at Saint Leo, scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 5 have been postponed. The men’s and women’s tennis teams were scheduled to participate in the C.L. Varner Invitational in Winter Park over the weekend but that event has been cancelled. At this point, there have not been any decisions made on makeup dates for these events.

As of now Saturday’s events have not been altered. PBA officials will continue to monitor the situation and make any decisions as soon as possible and as necessary.
