SILVER SPRING, Mary.- Former Palm Beach Atlantic University men’s soccer player Bill Brindley has been making a name for himself of late as he continues to improve in the professional ranks with the Real Maryland F.C. of the United Soccer League (USL). He was recently named to the Team of the Week.
Playing for the Real Maryland F.C. who is in their inaugural season, Brindley has made an immediate impact including scoring the franchises first ever goal in the sixth minute against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Utilizing his intensity, Brindley gave the Riverhounds backfield fits while out on the field.
The Riverhounds have stumbled out of the gate somewhat as they are currently 1-3 to start the season. Their next game is Saturday, May 17th when they host the Cleveland City Stars at 7:30 pm.
A 2006 Palm Beach Atlantic graduate, Brindley saw limited action as a Sailfish as he came to the program during his senior season and unfortunately was very limited due to injury.
Playing under current PBA head coach Jose Gomez, Brindley was an exciting striker with big-play ability despite his small amount of time on the field.
