WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Having just completed a very strong season which culminated in being named the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) runner-up, the Palm Beach Atlantic University women’s tennis team continues to build for the future. The first recruit signing of the offseason has been announced as Amber Braaten from Bullard, Texas.
A two-time district player of the year, Braaten finished fourth overall in her region. Braaten has also competed in the Girl’s 18’s in Texas where she has developed a long list of success.
Not only a standout on the tennis court, Braaten enters PBA with an academic pedigree that will help her fit in nicely with her new teammates as the PBA women’s tennis team is always one of the strongest academic athletic programs in the area.
An Academic All-State member, Braaten had the honor of being named the Bullard High School Student Scholar of the Year while being in the top 10 in her senior class.
With plans to major in English upon her arrival to campus next fall, Braaten greatly looks forward to her future as a Sailfish.
