Walters Named New Strength and Conditioning Coach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic University has named Elliott Walters the new strength and conditioning coach to begin this fall. Walters was previously at IMG Academy in Bradenton.
Walters will oversee the strength and conditioning for all 12 varsity programs at PBA with men’s lacrosse, women’s lacrosse, men’s cross country and men’s and women’s distance track adding to the mix in 2017-18. He spent the past three years at IMG where he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach.
While in Bradenton he worked specifically with basketball, football, tennis and soccer while assisting the director of track and field with Olympic athletes. He helped prepare athletes at various levels with high school, college and professional athletes including training for pro combines.
“I’m very excited and thankful to be hired as the head strength and conditioning coach at PBA,” Walters said. “I look forward to helping PBA athletics build on their recent success.”
Prior to working at IMG, Walters worked at Webber International as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. He was also a graduate assistant at the University of South Alabama working football, baseball and women’s basketball.
Walters is a certified strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as well as a USA Track and Field Level 1 Certification. He earned his bachelor’s degree in human performance/exercise science from the University of Southern Mississippi and completed a master’s degree in exercise science and sports medicine from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Ala.
