TAMPA, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men’s soccer senior Lucas Coutinho was recently named to the Premier Development League All-Southern Conference team after a standout summer with the South Florida Surf.
Coutinho – who helped lead the Sailfish to their first NCAA South Region championship in 2015 – led the Surf with five assists and scored three goals in 13 games. The Surf finished second in the Southeast Division with 28 points.
The Recife, Brazil native is currently ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the PDL after rising in the rankings throughout the summer. The PDL is the top-level of amateur soccer in the United States and a proving ground for the best collegiate players.
