Sailfish Tennis Earns ITA Academic Awards

TEMPE, Ariz. – A total of seven Palm Beach Atlantic tennis student-athletes were honored by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association for their academic work. In addition the women’s team was named an All-Academic Team.

The men saw freshman Carlos Meneses and junior Hendrik Burmeister honored.

On the women’s side the Sailfish were represented by Taylor Conti, Michaela Mignemi, Yoanna Peshev, Valerie Nagovitcina and Ana Reich.

The ITA All-Academic Team Award is open to any ITA program that has a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above for the current academic year.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a player must meet the following criteria: 1) be a varsity letter winner, 2) have a grade point average of at least 3.50 for the current academic year, and 3) have been enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
